Around Tucson

On January 21st we moved southwest of Tucson. We camped overnight at our second paid stop in three weeks at a very nice campground – think it was the J campground. On Tuesday morning we moved just down the road to BLM land and will be staying here until Jan 28th.

Monday we went to San Xavier del Bac Mission – see the attached pictures. It was very colorful but I liked the Mission we visited in Mexico a lot better – maybe because of its simplicity.

On Jan 23rd we drove to Tombstone and it is really a touristy place. Visited Boot Hill - see the attached pictures. Walked the main street but didn’t stay for the gunfight. We also scouted out places to stay next year.

Yesterday we went for a walk up the hill by the campground. It was very rocky and steep and we were sweating by the time we reached the top. Have to run the energy off Zack somehow and it doesn’t hurt us to have the exercise. I spent the afternoon in the trailer as the wind was blowing like mad and I wanted to do the Wetcanvas drawing of the week. Raymond was more adventurous and put up a windbreak so he could huddle outside. Still warm but very windy.

Will just vegetate until Monday and then on to Why.
